Job summary

Jeffco Public Schools - Colorado is seeking a leader to manage the District's 24/7/365 Emergency Services Dispatch Center, developing and overseeing SOPs and supervising dispatch staff across 145 schools.

You will coordinate with JEFFCOM911, law enforcement, fire districts, and internal teams; ensure security protocols, incident response, and training are in place. A Bachelor's in emergency management or criminal justice is preferred; NIMS ICS certification required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in dispatch, school security or law enforcement; safety and security technology; systems and equipment, including 2 years' experience in supervision.
• Bachelor's degree required; emergency management or criminal justice preferred; additional experience may substitute for degree.
• NIMS ICS certification and related professional development required; driver's license with clean history; drug testing requirements.
• Knowledge of district safety operations, emergency response protocols, incident command, and coordination with law enforcement and responders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ten Emergency Services Dispatchers including scheduling, coaching, disciplining, and performance reviews.
• Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures for dispatchers.
• Coordinate security matters with law enforcement, fire, and emergency services.
• Oversee district security technology, systems, and access control and surveillance.
• Lead incident response and maintain liaison with multiple agencies and schools.
• Ensure incident training and readiness, and coordinate on-call responses district-wide.
