Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support critical data center infrastructure across our facilities. This role demands hands‑on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and strict adherence to safety protocols within a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule (days/nights).

Qualifications

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities maintenance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain data center electrical and mechanical equipment and fire/life safety systems.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs and perform root-cause analysis.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks such as HVAC PMs, filter changes, and rack equipment replacements.
• Provide on-call support and respond to off-hour emergency calls as part of rotation.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and participate in optimization of operational costs.
