EveryMind in Rockville, MD is hiring 3 Crisis Hotline Counselors to support individuals facing mental health challenges. The role provides 24/7 crisis coverage via phone, chat and text, with shifts including afternoons, evenings, overnights; on-site at our Rockville office and remote options.

This position requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments, with two years post-high school education and 1–3 years experience; paid training January

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED with two years post-high school education; some college coursework preferred.
• One to three years of work experience; prior call-center experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills; ability to multitask and handle crises situations.

Aufgaben

• Provide hotline coverage by phone, text and chat; on-site and/or remote.
• Support visitors on phone, chat, and text, handling crises including suicidal contacts and confidential information.
• Navigate multiple digital platforms in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete required documentation before logging off at end of shift.
• Report service delivery and visitor-related issues to Shift/On-call Supervisor.
• Be present in the virtual workspace during scheduled work time.
• Maintain confidentiality and meet privacy and technological requirements.
• Attend mandatory hotline meetings and supervision sessions.
• Complete required training and continuing education units.
• Attend community meetings and partnerships as needed.
• Assist hotline with administrative tasks and projects.
