Job summary
The Building People, LLC, is seeking a full-time Building Tour Mechanic to support a federal agency in Reston, VA. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across HVAC and related systems.
Requirements include 5 years of federal O&M experience, BAS and Siemens Desigo familiarity, a 6th Class Stationary Engineers license, and the ability to perform physical tasks. Telework may be considered per customer needs.
Qualifications
- 5 years of federal facility O&M experience.
- Strong interfacing/coordination with technicians.
- Experience with BAS operations using Siemens Desigo hardware/software.
- Able to perform physical labor (lift up to 40 lbs, climb ladders).
- 6th Class Stationary Engineers license from DC held is required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor critical building systems during a shift in a 24/7 schedule.
- Adjust, operate, and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Coordinate with other technicians to complete daily tasks.
