Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC controls, DDC, BAS/BMS, commercial HVAC or building automation
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and low-voltage control systems
• Familiarity with BAS controllers, sensors, actuators, VFDs and control panels
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and control drawings
• Understanding of BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP or similar protocols
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently in the field with customers

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS)
• Startup and checkout of HVAC control systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot controllers, sensors, actuators, relays, VFDs, and other devices
• Diagnose communication and network issues within BAS/DDC systems
• Work with AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, pumps, and central plants
• Point-to-point checkout and verify proper system operation
• Assist with controller programming, system configuration, and sequence verification
• Work with BACnet and other building protocols
• Support new installations, upgrades, retrofits, and service projects
• Read drawings and sequences of operation; interpret plans
• Identify issues and suggest energy-efficient improvements
• Communicate updates to customers and coordinate with projects teams
