Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer in Anaheim, CA to maintain, monitor, and operate building systems 24/7, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety. You will troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation and safety.

Responsibilities include installation and repair of plumbing and electrical systems, overhauling pumps and motors, and supervising contractors while keeping meticulous logs and readings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand variable shifts in a 24/7 environment.
• Provide weekend and off-hours support during emergencies.
• Ability to read and write effectively in English.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The employee must be able to walk, squat, kneel, and stand for very long periods.
• The employee must be able to use and climb ladders and stairs during an entire shift.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook for email communications.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• California Driver's License
• Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical, and hot water systems.
• Analyze operation to determine causes of malfunctions and take corrective action.
• Install and repair plumbing, wiring, and motor controls; operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Monitor refrigeration, central plant, boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters; report problems as necessary.
• Oversee contractors and keep records of building rounds and engineering data sheets.
• Comply with safety policies and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
