Job summary

Tampa International Airport is hiring an Airport Equipment Maintenance Technician to repair and rebuild airport service vehicles, including support trucks, stationary carts, tankers and hydrant trucks. You will inspect parts, perform repairs on gas/diesel engines and hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, and support preventive maintenance procedures.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical experience or technical school graduates, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to lift

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years mechanical experience or graduates of technical schools.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must possess valid US driver’s license.
• Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs.
• All mechanics may need to perform duties of other positions when required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and identify defective parts and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain records.
• Provide preventive care to equipment to ensure aircraft services operate effectively.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment per health, safety and security policies.
• Possess the ability to perform accident inspections on involved equipment.
• Adhere to company procedures and safety standards at all times.
