Job summary

Aviation Authority-Tampa International Airport is seeking an HVAC Technician I to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in our facilities. Responsibilities include working with central, wall, and window units, exhaust fans, freezers, ice machines, and water coolers, plus drawing and sketches as needed.

The role requires rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation and emergency call-in availability. Compensation starts at $22.82 per hour and is based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year verified work experience or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.
• Knowledge of HVAC safety regulations and code requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC equipment including central, wall, and window units, exhaust fans, freezers, ice machines, and water coolers.
• Troubleshoots mechanical problems and implements corrective actions.
• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance for HVAC systems.
• Prepares drawings and sketches for modifications or installations.
