Job summary

AccuWeather is seeking a Client Systems Specialist to deliver responsive customer service, technical support, and troubleshooting for approximately 100 AccuWeather TV customers. The role supports 24/7 coverage, requiring proactive communication, advanced troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams to resolve issues quickly.

The position involves on-call duties, occasional travel for demonstrations, installations, and training, and maintaining proficiency with AccuWeather TV graphics

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience supporting PC or Mac computers, software, or hardware.
• Strong customer service skills and calm, professional communication.
• Ability to troubleshoot software/hardware and resolve issues end-to-end.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for demonstrations, installations, and trade shows.
• Experience with broadcast systems, graphics systems, or meteorological data preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical support resource by phone, email, and remote support.
• Participate in 24/7 support coverage and on-call schedule.
• Prioritize requests based on urgency and impact.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, configuration, and data issues.
• Own issues from initial response to resolution and communicate next steps.
• Document issues, steps, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
• Escalate complex issues to management and developers.
• Coordinate with sales and account teams about ongoing issues.
• Provide proactive guidance to prevent recurring problems.
• Maintain certifications on AccuWeather TV graphics systems.
• Understand meteorological data to support customers.
• Test new software versions with current configurations and coordinate upgrades.
• Provide remote training on system operation.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites for installations and training.
• Support sales by demonstrating products remotely and at events.
• Identify upgrade/training opportunities and relay to sales.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to staff.
• Coordinate coverage during travel and other activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
