Job summary

WITI FOX6, a FOX-owned station, seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure uninterrupted 24/7/365 broadcast operations through expert preventative maintenance and rapid troubleshooting.

The candidate will work with engineers to install and test hardware/software, support live events, and train staff on workflows. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required; prior broadcast engineering experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Prior background in television/radio broadcast engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience with listed equipment and systems used in daily broadcast operations.
  • IT or electronics certificate and/or AS degree.

Responsibilities

  • System Integration: design, install, test, and document new hardware and software systems.
  • Technical Support: rapid troubleshooting and repairs to minimize airtime interruptions.
  • Network Security: manage and maintain data networks per security policies.
  • Operational Training: provide guidance and training to operational staff on workflows and equipment use.
  • Preventative Maintenance: routine software/hardware updates and system checks.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: deliver internal customer service to ensure departments have tools to succeed.
