Job summary

MIND 24-7 in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support stabilization and patient safety during night shifts. This PRN role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of behavioral health experience.

You will perform screenings, assist with ADLs, document vitals and treatments in the EHR, and collaborate with clinical teams to de-escalate crises while maintaining compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain patient safety and engagement during stabilization.
• Conduct patient security screenings and inventories upon admission.
• Respond to escalated behavior using therapeutic de-escalation techniques and, when necessary, administer restraint or seclusion interventions.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting, dressing, hygiene, and eating.
• Collect and document vitals, urine drug screens, and pregnancy tests.
• Record interactions, observations, and safety checks in the EHR.
• Support facility operations by keeping a clean environment and assisting with linens.
