Job summary

Mind 24-7 is transforming mental health care by offering walk‑in, 24/7 access to services for youth and adults in Mesa, AZ. The Behavioral Health Technician will support crisis stabilization and psychiatric care, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment while collaborating with nursing and clinical teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of behavioral health experience, and a fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of behavioral health experience preferred.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain patient safety and engagement during stabilization.
• Conduct patient security screenings and personal property inventories upon admission.
• Respond to escalated behavior using therapeutic de-escalation techniques and administer restraint or seclusion if necessary.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting, dressing, hygiene, and eating.
• Collect and document vitals, urine drug screens, and pregnancy tests.
• Record all interactions, observations, and safety checks in the EHR.
• Support facility operations by maintaining a clean, organized environment and assisting with linens.
• Float between units as needed and participate in supervision and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support patients and clinical teams.
