Job summary

Mind 24-7 is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in Mesa to support patients receiving crisis stabilization and psychiatric care. You will be the first line of interaction, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment while collaborating with nursing and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient safety and engagement during stabilization.
• Conduct patient security screenings and personal property inventories on admission.
• Respond to escalated behavior using therapeutic de-escalation techniques.
• Administer restraint or seclusion interventions when necessary.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collect and document vitals, urine drug screens, and pregnancy tests.
• Record interactions and safety checks in the EHR.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment and support with linens.
• Float between units and participate in supervision and training.
• Perform other duties to support patients and clinical teams.
