Job summary

Universal Orlando is seeking an Application Engineer to implement and maintain in-house and vendor software across all Park locations in Orlando, FL. You will install, implement, troubleshoot, and provide day-to-day support for applications, while configuring system administration and software environments.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field and 3+ years IT experience, with Galaxy-POS experience preferred.

Qualifications

3+ years of IT/work experience, preferably in IT support roles.
Experience with Point-of-Sale systems, GALAXY-POS preferred.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day application support for software systems at Park locations, including after hours and on-call.
Troubleshoot, analyze logs, determine root cause, and coordinate with technical teams and vendors.
Build and maintain software system configurations and document changes.
Attend meetings with business partners and vendors to communicate deployments and troubleshoot issues.
Design, run and monitor tests for new and existing applications to identify errors and improvements.
Create and maintain documentation; provide knowledge transfer for junior team members.
Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities and follow policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
