Job summary

AMD invites a highly motivated Software Engineering co-op to join our team in San Jose or Santa Clara. In this role, you will work closely with our software engineers to build and maintain our software applications, gaining hands-on experience on real projects for millions of end-users.

You will receive training across design, development, testing, and deployment, and be encouraged to automate parts of the process with scripts.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a US-based university for an undergraduate degree in CS/CE/EE.
• Strong interest in software development and debugging.
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX and version control.
• Willingness to work full-time for the duration of the term.

Responsibilities

• Work with software engineers to build and maintain applications.
• Receive training across the full software development lifecycle.
• Develop scripts to automate parts of the software development process.
• Learn debugging methodologies to identify root causes of issues.
• Craft technical/functional documents and reports as needed.

• Locations: San Jose, CA or Santa Clara, CA
• Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term

WhatYouWillBeDoing

We areseekinghighlymotivated Software Engineering co-op to join our team at AMD. In this role -

• We will assign you responsibilities in which you will work closely with our software engineers to build andmaintain our software applications.
• We willprovide training on the full software creation process, from design andbuiltto testing and deployment.
• We will encourage you to build scripts that automate some of our software development process.
• We will help you learn debugging methodologies to investigate the root cause of software issues.
• In certain projects we may have your involvement in crafting technical/functional documents and reports asneeded.

Who We Are Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a US based University in a Undergrad degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• If you haveknowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply -
