Leonardo DRS is seeking a Summer Supply Chain Intern in Dallas, TX to support material program management and IPTs with entry-level professional administrative tasks. This 20-hour target position offers exposure to planning processes, data management, and reporting in a hybrid work environment.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain hands-on experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI while developing knowledge of supply chain concepts and MRPs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and enrolled college student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Ability to communicate successfully orally and in writing.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Provide entry-level administrative support to Material Program Management and IPT teams.
  • Assist in data management, reporting, and meeting coordination.
  • Help with organizing, updating data using database applications.
  • Support efficient supply-chain documentation and workflows.
  • Participate in process improvements and cross-functional team activities.

Job Summary

Provides entry-level professional administrative and program support to Material Program Management and Integrated Project Teams. Supports supply-chain coordination, data management, reporting, meeting activities, and problem identification while developing knowledge of material planning processes and systems. Maintains a professional company image and upholds the organization’s mission, values, and culture.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform professional administrative work of an introductory nature in preparation for career advancement
  • Perform entry-level professional administrative staff duties in support of functional areas, gradually increasing in level of difficulty and responsibility
  • Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction
  • Type and word-process draft documents and electronic information
  • Prepare routine reports with guidance
  • Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications
  • Assist in arranging meetings, conferences, and project team activities
  • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED and enrolled college student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate successfully orally and in writing
  • Ability to efficiently utilize standard office software and computer equipment
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
