Internship Program

The CareSource Intern is responsible for providing support on special projects, initiatives, and specific activities which will vary by assignment. We offer a 12-week, paid summer internship program for college students who want to separate themselves from the pack. This is an exciting opportunity to obtain real-world experience and prepare yourself for your career after college. The program offers:

Essential Functions:

• Analyze internal and external data sets
• Attend cross disciplinary team meetings and workstreams to understand departmental initiatives and advocate for appropriate information
• Create and execute a survey to understand member needs, preferences, and experiences. Upon receiving results, summarize responses, and utilize results to inform how CareSource could best respond to opportunities identified
• Immersion in NCQA and health plan accreditation, HEDIS measures, and Quality Improvement science through preparing documentation and required components for Ohio Medicaid’s NCQA Health Outcome accreditation

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Current Rising Junior or Senior in an accredited degree program or graduated within the last 6 months is required

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Compensation Range:

$41,200.00 - $66,000.00

CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
