Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR division, offers an internship for students enrolled in college to join our Resident Engineering team in Denton, Texas. You’ll work on diverse projects, monitor pilot builds, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to resolve issues during the new product pilot stages.

The role requires ongoing enrollment in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology program, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience, use Microsoft Office tools, and contribute

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology degree program.
• Pursuing a related program is acceptable.
• Interest in manufacturing and product development.

Responsibilities

• Monitor builds of new product and assist engineering with pilot builds.
• Support corrective action documentation for pilots.
• Conduct sweeps related to issues during pilot builds and assist rework.
• Investigate and implement process automation for new product builds.

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has aninternship for students currently enrolled in college. This opening is for a New Product Coordination Internto add to our Resident Engineering team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limitedto:

• Monitoring builds of new product, locating trucks with requests for engineering assistance, and collaborating with various functional groups to resolve issues that arise during the pilot build process
• Supporting timely corrective action documentation of new product pilots being assembled in the Peterbilt Denton factory
• Conducting sweeps related to issues found during pilot build events and supporting rework efforts as needed
• Investigating and implementing process automation opportunities related to planning for and supporting new product build events

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology degree program, or a related program.
