Job summary

• Develop labor study database and input PFMEAs to new database format.

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an internship for students currently enrolled in college. This opening is for an Engineering Intern to add to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

• Design/prototype/test/modify returnable racks for parts
• Incorporate hand tool models into Creo master models for clearance checks
• Assist with testing various prototype software
• Assist with prototype builds of new products
• Assist with pilot coordination activities for preproduction builds
• Document department processes (pilot builds, PFMEA, standard fasteners, etc.)
• Create manufacturing tool list by assembly area
• Support increased capacity projects
• Create/input PFMEAs to new database format
• Develop labor study database
• Automate plant quality data extraction and generate report
• Create new project scope requests
• Further develop Design for Assembly (DFA) training materials
• Duties may also include involvement with supplier tooling, battery electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, fuel cells, alternative fuels, or other new technology projects

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering, or a related program.
