Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, invites students to join our Resident Engineering team in Denton, Texas as a New Product Coordination Intern. You will help monitor ongoing pilot builds, collaborate with cross-functional groups, and assist in documenting corrective actions to support timely pilot completion.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology programs, with strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with pilot

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology degree program or related program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in pilot builds and support engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor builds of new product and coordinate with engineering to resolve issues during pilot builds.
• Assist in locating trucks with engineering requests and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support corrective action documentation for pilots in the Denton factory.
• Conduct sweeps and support rework efforts as needed.

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an internship for students currently enrolled in college. This opening is for a New Product Coordination Intern to add to our Resident Engineering team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitoring builds of new product, locating trucks with requests for engineering assistance, and collaborating with various functional groups to resolve issues that arise during the pilot build process


• Supporting timely corrective action documentation of new product pilots being assembled in the Peterbilt Denton factory


• Conducting sweeps related to issues found during pilot build events and supporting rework efforts as needed


• Investigating and implementing process automation opportunities related to planning for and supporting new product build events

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology degree program, or a related program.
