Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR unit in Denton, Texas, offers an Engineering Intern position within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team. You will work on design, prototype development, testing, and documentation across various projects, including DFA training materials and pilot builds.

The role supports capacity projects, PFMEA data, and new technology initiatives such as BEV and autonomous systems. Enrollment in an engineering program and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design/prototype/test/modify returnable racks for parts.
• Incorporate hand tool models into Creo master models for clearance checks.
• Assist with testing various prototype software.
• Assist with prototype builds of new products.
• Assist with pilot coordination activities for preproduction builds.
• Document department processes (pilot builds, PFMEA, standard fasteners, etc.).
• Create manufacturing tool list by assembly area.
• Support increased capacity projects.
• Create/input PFMEAs to new database format.
• Develop labor study database.
• Automate plant quality data extraction and generate reports.
• Create new project scope requests.
• Further develop DFA training materials.
• Duties may involve supplier tooling, BEV, autonomous vehicles, fuel cells, or other new tech projects

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has aninternship for students currently enrolled in college. This opening is for an EngineeringIntern to add to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering, or a related program.
