WoodmenLife’s AI Engineer Intern role sits in the Data & AI team, located hybrid in Omaha, NE. You will work with experienced engineers to design and deploy AI-driven solutions using Microsoft’s Azure AI ecosystem, gaining hands-on experience in production-ready systems.
You’ll participate in daily stand-ups, contribute to testing and validation, create documentation, and collaborate with business partners to identify automation opportunities, with potential growth into an AI Engineer I role.

As an AI Engineer Intern,you’ll be part of a collaborative team building cutting‑edge Enterprise AI solutions. AI solutions that directly support major business operations.
The AI Engineer Intern will work closely with experienced AI Engineers to design, develop, test, and document AI‑driven solutions using Microsoft’s Azure AI ecosystem. This role is ideal for a student or early‑career technologist who wants hands‑on experience with frontier AI technologies and real‑world production systems.
This internship providesa strong foundationfor future full‑time roles in AI engineering. Top‑performing interns may have the opportunity to transition into an AIEngineer Irole.
You’ll report to our Manager, AI Strategic Delivery, who leads with a collaborative management style and values open communication. The team prides itself on being supportive, innovative, and fun—always exploring new ways to leverage AI to reinvent how work gets done.
