NWU seeks an enthusiastic student for a paid, full-time 10-week summer internship focused on software development for military vehicle systems. You will contribute across the entire software development life cycle, helping design, develop, build, integrate, test, and deliver solutions within a medium-sized team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing CS/CE/CIS/MIS degrees, familiar with Linux/Windows environments, and comfortable with TCP/IP, CAN and Serial, plus tools like Mercurial, Git, and Jira.

Formación

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, CE, CIS, MIS, or related field.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows development environments preferred.
• Experience with Mercurial, Git, Jira preferred.
• Familiarity with TCP/UDP, CAN and Serial protocols preferred.
• Willing to work 40 hours/week with 5/8 and 4/10 workdays, every other Friday off.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Participate in tasks related to the full software development life cycle including design, development, build, integration, test, and delivery.
• Work within a medium-sized software development team on military vehicle system development projects.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS, or a related field.
• Experience with hardware and software integration is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with standard communications protocols (TCP, UDP, CAN, Serial) preferred but not required.
• Experience with software management tools such as Mercurial, Git, Jira preferred but not required.
• Experience with Linux and Windows development environments preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on a schedule combining 5/8 and 4/10 workdays, with every other Friday off.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
