Job summary

Thinklance LLP invites students to join a paid, full-time 10-week summer internship in Slidell, LA, focusing on full software life cycle activities. You will join a medium-sized team working on military vehicle system development projects and gain hands-on experience with design, development, build, integration, and testing.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS, familiarity with protocols, software tools, and Linux/Windows environments. A U.S.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Participate in tasks related to the full software development life cycle including design, development, build, integration, test, and delivery.
• Work within a medium-sized software development team on military vehicle system development projects.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS, or a related field.
• Experience with hardware and software integration is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with standard communications protocols (TCP, UDP, CAN, Serial) preferred but not required.
• Experience with software management tools such as Mercurial, Git, Jira preferred but not required.
• Experience with Linux and Windows development environments preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on a schedule combining 5/8 and 4/10 workdays, with every other Friday off.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
