Job summary

Poudre School District seeks a dedicated classroom aide to support instruction and reinforce learning in one-on-one and group settings at Traut Core Knowledge Elementary School. You will assist with materials, grading, attendance, and documentation of student achievement, while ensuring safety and adherence to district procedures.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, participation in in-services, and support for state testing and special projects in a dynamic elementary setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Criminal background check required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with implementing instruction and reinforcing learning skills in one-on-one, small, and/or large student groups.
• Assist teacher in preparing classroom materials, administering tests, grading, taking attendance, completing paperwork, maintaining files, and documenting student achievement.
• Monitor students in classroom and during breaks, lunch, recess, field trips, and transportation.
• Attend work on time and participate in school activities and trainings.
• Support teacher and administration with special projects and IEP meetings as needed.
• Administer state testing (TCAP) in small groups.

Education

One year of related experience

• Pay Range: $18.35-$20.55/hour, based on qualifications and experience***

SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with implementing instruction and/or reinforcing learning skills in oneon‑one, small, and/or large student groups. Assist with preparing classroom materials, administering tests, grading, taking attendance, completing paperwork, maintaining files, documenting student achievement, and/or monitoring students.

JOB TASKS:

• Assist the classroom teacher with implementing instruction and reinforcing learning skills in one-on‑one, small, and/or large student groups. Implement and support the teacher's instruction plan.
• Assist teacher in preparing classroom materials, administering tests, grading, taking attendance, completing paperwork, maintaining files, and/or documenting student achievement.
• Monitor students in classroom and during breaks, lunch, recess, time outs, on field trips, getting on and off the bus, etc. Reinforce school-wide discipline procedures.
• Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
• Assist teacher and/or administration with special projects.
• Attend appropriate in-services, building meetings, training, IEP meetings, parent conferences, and/or school functions.
• Administer state testing (TCAP) in small groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of related experience
• Experience working with students in a school setting preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
