Job summary

EHRA Engineering in Houston seeks civil engineering students for an internship under experienced engineers. You will apply standard design engineering techniques to assignments focused on civil drawings, specifications, estimates, and site work.

You will build technical skills in design calculations, read surveys, research options, write reports, manage small projects, and assist with basic CAD review and drafting, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Two years of college completed.
• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
• CADD experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and update project schedules and reports by interacting with other professionals and business units on project matters.
• Create project and program documents - reviews, reports, submittals, correspondence, design releases, bid and contract documents.
• Review project drawings/site plans for accuracy and completeness.
• Attend and observe construction projects; assist engineers on related tasks and field inspections.

Summary

EHRA Engineering is seeking students majoring in Civil Engineering. Under The Direction Of Experienced Engineers, The Internship Will Allow You To Apply Standard Design Engineering Techniques For Various Assignments Focused On

• Civil Engineering drawings, specifications, and estimates for design projects.
• Work build technical skills in design calculations, reading and interpreting surveys, researching design options, writing technical reports, managing projects, basic CADD review and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Create and update project schedules and reports by interacting with other professionals and business units on project matters.
• Create project and program documents - reviews, reports, submittals, correspondence, design releases, bid and contract documents.
• Review project drawings/site plans for accuracy and completeness. Submit design changes for team review. Apply quality assurance as outlined in the QMP (Quality Management Plan) to design and review work.
• Attend and observe construction projects. Assist engineers on related tasks, including field inspections, management of subcontractors and verifying contract completion stages and payments.

Qualifications

• Must have completed two (2) year of college.
• Previous experience with CADD desired
• Currently working toward a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree in an ABET-accredited university.
