Job summary

EHRA Engineering in Houston, TX is seeking students majoring in Civil Engineering or Biological and Agricultural Engineering for an internship under experienced engineers. You will apply standard design techniques to assignments focused on civil drawings, estimates, and CAD drafting.

Under supervision, you will build technical skills in design calculations, field inspections, and project documentation, with opportunities to contribute to QA and project management tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have completed one year of college.
• Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, or related ABET-accredited degree.
• Previous experience with CADD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and update project schedules and reports by interacting with other professionals and business units on project matters.
• Create project and program documents - reviews, reports, submittals, correspondence, design releases, bid and contract documents.
• Review project drawings/site plans for accuracy and completeness. Submit design changes for team review. Apply QA as outlined in the QMP (Quality Management Plan).
• Attend and observe construction projects. Assist engineers on related tasks, including field inspections, management of subcontractors and verifying contract completion stages and payments.
