Cornerstone Building Brands in Mount Pleasant, IA, is seeking a skilled welder/fitter to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, set welder parameters, and maintain bead quality while following safety rules and production standards.

Base pay starts at $22.60–$26.14 per hour with a 5:00 AM–1:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday. We offer full-time benefits from day one, including medical, dental and vision coverage, PTO and retirement options.

Formación

• Associate degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school, or 1–3 years welding experience.
• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to read documents and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in small groups.
• Basic math calculations (add/sub/multiply/percent).
• Familiarity with power hand tools and forklift operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsabilidades

• Know and follow safety rules for a manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed/travel, and gas flow based on bead condition.
• Read a tape measure and blueprints to shop standards.
• Decide adjustments to weld parameters as needed.
• Determine repairs for pin holes and burn-through.
• Train others in proper welding procedures.
• Operate overhead crane and other lifting equipment.
• Maintain bead shapes to specified sizes and quality.
• Keep numerical and alphabetical sequences correct.
• Support continuous improvement in the work area.
• Perform other duties as designated by Team Leader.
