Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year welding experience in a production environment or valid welding certification.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Comfort with power hand tools.
• Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed, travel and gas flow.
• Read tape measure and blueprints to shop standard.
• Train and teach welding procedures per manufacturing procedures.
• Operate overhead crane and other lifting equipment.
• Maintain bead shape, size and penetration while ensuring product quality.
• Maintain correct numerical and alphabetical sequences.
• Support continuous improvement in the work area.
• Comply with safety rules in the manufacturing environment.
