Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Mount Pleasant, IA, is seeking a welder/fitter to join our manufacturing team. You will coordinate welder settings, read blueprints, and ensure bead quality while following safety rules.

This full-time role offers an early shift 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, base pay of $22.60–$26.14 per hour, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school, or welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Basic reading of policy documents and safety manuals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed/travel and gas flow with bead condition.
• Read a tape measure and blueprints to shop standard.
• Train and teach proper welding procedures.
• Operate overhead crane and lifting equipment.
• Maintain bead quality and dimensions as specified.
• Support continuous improvement in the work area.
