Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a 1st Shift Weld Production Supervisor to lead a team of manual and robotic welders, assign tasks and ensure efficient use of welding resources while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will oversee daily production, monitor performance, train staff and coordinate with other supervisors to meet schedules and cost targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills are essential as you drive

Qualifications

• Experience with robotic weld equipment preferred.
• Experience ordering supplies, troubleshooting welding/production problems, performing welding tests for prospective welders.
• Experience in prototyping parts and fixtures, and communicating with end users.
• Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing.
• Prior experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, production and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise welders and robotic weld operators to meet production quality and cost goals.
• Develop, implement and improve departmental policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with management to resolve worker problems and grievances.
• Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects and malfunctions.
• Plan and establish work schedules and production sequences to meet goals.
• Record attendance, hours and other timekeeping activity daily.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing processes and required documentation.
