Job summary

ABB is seeking a dedicated onsite team member to support the Tooling group, performing routine maintenance and tasks to improve tool and line efficiency. You will work with established procedures to streamline storage, inventory counting, and component dispatch.

The role emphasizes problem solving, Excel/Word proficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards within a 10-hour shift model with potential OT to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Windows based software (Excel and Word) required.
• Must have working knowledge of inventory accuracy and cycle counting.
• Ability to research/resolve problems or issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Support the Tooling team and conduct activities according to guidelines.
• Increase overall efficiency of tools and the production line.

• Execute routine activities and pick components from stock for dispatch.

This position reports to:

Tooling Planner/Supervisor

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Tooling team. Each day, you will conduct activities according to agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by increasing the overall efficiency of the equipment and production line.

The work model for the role is: onsite

• Sorting and arranging tools for storage as per guidelines.
• Executing routine activities according to established procedures.
• Picking components from stock for dispatch.
• Sharpening tooling as needed (Taps and Chasers) using machining equipment (grinders, cutoff, bandsaws and hand tools)
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications For The Role

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Windows based software (specifically Excel and Word) required.
• Must have working knowledge of inventory accuracy and cycle counting.
• Ability to research/resolve problems or issues in a timely manner.
