ABB is seeking a skilled Tool Room Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Ormond Beach. You will fabricate and maintain tooling, perform mold maintenance, and operate diverse machine tools to support production with precision.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Bridgeport mills, lathes, surface grinders, and Sinker EDM, plus the ability to read drawings and ensure high quality and tight tolerances. Collaboration with engineering drives continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a tool room machinist or similar role.
• Hands-on proficiency with Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, surface grinders, and Sinker EDM.
• Demonstrated experience in punch press tool fabrication.
• Working knowledge of injection mold maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and maintain punch press tooling, including dies, punches, and related components.
• Perform injection mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Operate and set up a variety of machine tools including Bridgeport Mills, Manual Lathes, Surface Grinders, Sinkers EDM.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards throughout all machining operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

About The Role

ABB is seeking a skilled and experienced Tool Room Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of tooling and equipment critical to our production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and maintain punch press tooling, including dies, punches, and related components
• Perform injection mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
• Operate and set up a variety of machine tools including:

• Manual Lathes
• Surface Grinders
• Sinker EDM
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
