Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Team Lead in Columbus, IN to direct a warehouse assembly team, drive efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time performance. You will foster engagement and development while ensuring smooth daily operations.

The role requires leading and supporting staff, managing schedules, and maintaining performance through KPI tracking and issue resolution. Onsite, with standard first shift hours.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Experience with general warehouse operations and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using warehouse management systems or ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming deliveries to confirm quantities and identify defects or nonconformance.
• Enter and review KPI data, collaborating with Inventory Control leadership to meet performance expectations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues using established procedures and available tools.
• Communicate clearly with internal staff and external partners (carriers, suppliers).
• Oversee skilled assemblers to meet department targets and productivity metrics.
• Build and adjust weekly work schedules aligned with production and customer needs.
• Track daily performance metrics and provide updates to management.
• Respond to issues during business hours—onsite, by phone, or by email.

TeamLead's Responsibilities:

• Check incoming deliveries to confirm correct quantities and identify any defects or nonconformance.
• Enter and review KPI data, collaborating with Inventory Control leadership to meet performance expectations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues using established procedures and available tools.
• Communicate clearly with internal staff and external partners such as carriers or suppliers.
• Oversee skilled assemblers to ensure department targets and productivity metrics are met or exceeded.
• Build and adjust weekly work schedules aligned with production and customer needs.
• Track daily performance metrics and provide updates to management.
• Remain available to respond to issues during business hours—onsite, by phone, or by email.

Schedule:1st Shift

• Monday-Friday
• 6am-2:30pm
• Overtime as needed

TeamLead's Benefits/ Pay:

• $20.25-$25/HR

Qualifications:

• Prefer5+ years of warehouse team leadership experience.
• Prefer 3+ years of forklift operating experience.
• At least 2 years of general warehouse experience.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using warehouse management or ERP software.
• Frequent standing, walking, and navigating warehouse areas throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs using proper technique.
