Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Columbus, IN is seeking a Production Line Lead to oversee daily operations on the manufacturing line, ensuring output meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The role acts as the main link between assemblers and team leaders and requires training both new and existing personnel.

The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 3:30pm to 12am, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months of related experience required.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and use of hands.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to lift or move items over 40 lbs; moderate noise environment; adequate vision.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Complete and verify paperwork for daily production activities.
• Serve as the primary link between assembly operators and team leaders.
• Train new and existing team members to ensure consistent processes.
• Confirm products meet all safety and quality standards.
• Audit work areas to ensure work instructions and procedures are being followed.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and reinforce safety expectations.
• Assist on the production line as needed to maintain output.
• Perform line changeovers efficiently.
• Work overtime when required to meet production demands.
• Maintain and support 5S workplace organization.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
