Job summary

TOLEDO TOOL AND DIE CO is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 1st shift at the Maumee facility. You will lead Team Leaders and production staff to safely and efficiently meet daily goals in a stamping operation.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety, coordinating schedules, training staff, reviewing production metrics, and communicating with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Tool & Die, Materials, and HR to ensure on-time delivery and quality products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; leadership training preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Experience with high-volume resistance welding and robotic welding in a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive stamping or Tier I/Tier II supplier experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce all safety regulations; stop production if unsafe conditions arise.
• Coordinate activities of production staff including operators, die setters, inspectors, and material handlers.
• Collaborate with department supervisors to coordinate operations, material flow, staffing and problem resolution.
• Plan and establish work schedules, job assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
• Inspect materials, equipment, and products to detect defects or hazards and address concerns.
• Observe processes and monitor gauges and sensors to ensure standards are followed.
• Conduct employee training in equipment operation, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Interpret work orders, blueprints, specifications, and schedules for employees.
• Analyze production data to evaluate performance and shift effectiveness.
• Recommend measures to improve safety, methods, equipment, and quality.
• Maintain documentation for attendance, performance, safety, and output.
