Job summary

Meritec in Painesville, OH is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift to lead daily manufacturing activities, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will supervise staff, coordinate with planning and other departments, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing is required.

Responsibilities

Lead daily production activities for the assigned shift with staffing and priorities.
Ensure schedules meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.
Supervise and develop production employees; track attendance and training.
Maintain knowledge of products, equipment, drawings, and work instructions.
Coordinate with Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality to reach goals.
Troubleshoot issues and elevate maintenance when needed.
Ensure proper identification, storage and control of materials and documents.
