At Somic America, our Shipping and Receiving team keeps materials coming in, finished products going out, and production moving in the right direction. We’re looking for a dependable, organized person who can handle forklifts, shipments, scanners, paperwork, without losing track of the details.
As a Shipping/Receiving Operator, you’ll help make sure incoming materials are received correctly and customer shipments leave safely, accurately, and on time. In short: the right product, in the right place, at the right time.
You’re the person who notices when a number is off, a label is missing, or a pallet is not where it belongs. You can stay organized while there are alot of movement around you.
You’ll safely handle and store materials, follow shipping and receiving procedures, complete equipment checks, maintain a clean work area, and report unsafe or unusual conditions. Accuracy matters.

Shipping and Receiving is where deadlines, production, and customer service all meet. We’re looking for someone who consistently works their assigned schedule, arrives ready to contribute, communicates clearly, and helps maintain 100% on-time delivery. We understand that illness and family emergencies happen; employees who cannot report to work must follow the company’s established call-in procedures.
This is an active, hands-on position. Employees regularly stand and walk for eight or more hours, reach, handle materials, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb in and out of a forklift. Employees regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 75 pounds. Work is performed around moving mechanical equipment in a moderately noisy manufacturing environment.
