Job summary

Somic America Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Operator to ensure materials move safely and on time within our facility. You will load and unload trucks, prepare shipments, verify accuracy, and support inventory control using AIM.

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, can work independently or with a team, and are comfortable with AIM, Excel, and Word. Safety and quality are core to our operations, emphasizing on-time delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read shipping documents and work instructions
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (75 lbs occasionally)
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks
• Prepare customer shipments, including staging, wrapping, strapping, and labeling
• Verify shipments for accuracy before they leave the facility
• Receive raw materials and maintain accurate inventory records using AIM
• Transport materials and finished goods throughout the plant
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
• Maintain FIFO inventory practices
• Process shipping paperwork, including FedEx, UPS, export, and service part shipments
• Inspect and sort returnable packaging
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe Shipping & Receiving area
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives

What You'll Do
