Job summary

STARK is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator in Calhoun, GA to operate industrial sewing equipment for fabricating carpet products. You will read FWOs, select yarns and materials, and ensure correct seam allowances and tension while maintaining quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a warehouse setting. Ideal candidates have 1 year of sewing or machine operation experience, basic knowledge of sewing equipment and textiles, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• 1 year of industrial sewing or machine operating experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of industrial sewing equipment and textile materials.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb, push/pull up to 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to fabricate carpet products.
• Read and interpret fabrications work orders and sewing instructions.
• Identify yarns and materials required for each order.
• Align and sew materials with correct seam allowances and tension.
• Inspect finished products for quality standards.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area per safety policies.
• Collaborate with team members and assist with other production tasks.
