Job summary

Stark Carpet Corp. in Calhoun, GA seeks a 1st Shift Hand Sewer to join our Fabrication team. You will hand sew luxury carpet products to STARK's quality standards, finishing pieces with precision and craftsmanship.

The role requires experience in hand sewing or related textile work, attention to detail, and the ability to work on heavy materials in a fast-paced setting. A retirement/retention bonus up to $1,000 is offered, with details provided during interview.

Qualifications

• Previous hand sewing, upholstery, tailoring or textile manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to read work orders and follow production instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 25 lb and push/pull up to 50 lb.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hand sew carpet and rug products according to FWOs and specifications.
• Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and sewing instructions.
• Inspect materials for defects before sewing.
• Ensure seams and finishes meet quality standards.
• Trim threads and inspect completed products for appearance.
• Maintain an organized workstation and follow safety procedures.
• Coordinate with Fabrication, Quality Control, and other teams to meet daily goals.
• Assist with additional fabrication tasks as needed.
