Job summary

Tyson Foods in New London, CT is hiring a Machine Operator to set up and operate tow motors, hand mules, dumpers, grinders and mixers on 1st shift. You will push, pull and lift heavy items, perform weight checks, and help maintain a clean, safe production area.

This role requires willingness to rotate positions, complete SAP paperwork, and meet safety and GMP/SQF requirements, with benefits effective day 1.

Qualifications

• 3 months of work history with the same employer.
• Experience as a machine operator preferred.
• RF scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move buckets weighing 280 pounds and tanks weighing 2900 pounds from cooler to grinding room.
• Move 200 pounds of meat with a shovel or fork from strainers and combos.
• Add water, cures, seasoning, corn syrup and other ingredients to meat blends.
• Perform necessary weight and process checks.
• Maintain general housekeeping and manufacturing practices.
• Participate in position rotations including tow motor operation.
