Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Scaler who rotates among the various workstations to perform duties at each station in a meat processing facility. The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs, constant standing, PPE, and the ability to communicate clearly by phone, in person, and in writing.

1st shift is based in the United States, with background checks as part of the hiring process. All applicants must complete the required task after applying to be considered; Tyson reserves the right to the suitability

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly via phone, in person, and in writing.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to use simple measuring instruments. Detail oriented.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Transfer raw product from cooler to meat dumper with a walk-behind.
• Control dumper to transfer meat to the hopper with computer controls.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Weigh out ingredients to spec.
• Transfer pre-weighed ingredients into an ingredient hopper.
