Job summary

Tyson Foods in Newbern, TN is seeking a Machine Operator to keep the production line moving. You will operate equipment, monitor settings, and ensure proper ingredients and supplies are used to maintain quality and safety. The role demands physical work including standing, lifting up to 20 pounds, and possible overtime.

Pay is $23.60 per hour on the 1st shift, with benefits typical of Tyson Foods, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 6 months of continuous relevant experience in the last 18 months.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to strenuous flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
• Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to life/lower/carry up to 20 pounds or greater.
• Must be able to stand/walk/bend for long periods.
• Occasional climbing of stairs several times per hour.
• Ability to work in wet and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
• Able to complete on-the-job paperwork and SAP functions.
• Ability to communicate across management levels.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to ensure continuous flow of product on the production line.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Notify supervisor if maintenance is required.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow Tyson policies.
