Job summary

Tyson Foods’ Gadsden Plant is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance technician for the 1st shift. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems in a fast-paced plant operating at 38–42°F.

Use forklifts and safety gear, with mandatory safety protocols like Lock Out Tag Out and fall protection. Candidates should have at least 6 months of relevant industrial maintenance or refrigeration experience, or applicable schooling, and must pass annual health and safety clearances,

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of industrial maintenance or refrigeration experience in last 12 months or verifiable schooling in a relevant trade.
• Must pass Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical; recertified annually.
• Clean shaven to ensure proper SCBA fit.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration equipment and plant assets.
• Work in a fast-paced meat processing environment with temperatures 38–42°F.
• Operate safety equipment and comply with site safety protocols including LOTO and fall protection.
