Job summary

PLZ Corp in Coal City, IL is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift (Mon–Thu, 3 am–2 pm). This role leads the entire shift, drives safety, quality, and lean improvements, and coaches teams to meet daily targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of supervisory experience, OSHA/CPIM/CMS a plus, and a high school diploma; a BS in engineering is preferred. On-site role with a strong benefits package and base compensation range disclosed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; BS in engineering a plus.
• 2+ years of relevant manufacturing supervision experience.
• CPIM, CMS or OSHA certs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety-first culture and injury-free workplace.
• Set daily goals prior to shift start-up.
• Perform audits of production work and address issues with departments.
• Investigate and correct product quality exceptions.
• Lead daily toolbox talks and team development.
• Ensure housekeeping and lean practices are followed.
• Monitor performance using established metrics.
• Provide feedback and training plans to enhance skills.
