Job summary

The Jel Sert Company in West Chicago, IL is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor in the Freezerbar Department to lead a team and maximize safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities include daily production scheduling, lot control, inventory accuracy, sanitation, and adherence to SOPs, with a focus on 5S and weigh-out systems. Overtime may be required based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees.

Responsibilities

• Safety: perform line inspections, safety audits, and safety meetings.
• Quality: ensure high-quality production, conduct quality audits, maintain a clean environment (GMP).
• Lot control and inventory accuracy, reporting.
• Develop and operate within SOPs to ensure consistency.
• Cost/production efficiency and maintenance planning for production continuity.
• Sanitation and housekeeping responsibilities.
• Employee relations and training of staff.
