Job summary

Home Chef is seeking a Shift Manager to lead production planning and supervision on the 1st shift. You will oversee supervisors, ensure safety standards, and drive on-time, in-full production while coordinating with cross-functional teams across FSQA and Warehouse.

You’ll coach supervisors, manage staffing with HR, and enforce SQF/GMP programs to sustain a strong safety culture. Minimum four-year degree or equivalent ops experience required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a four-year degree in a related field or equivalent ops experience.
• Minimum managerial experience in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient with Excel, ERP systems and mobile technology.

Responsibilities

• Create shift level production plans from weekly targets and handoff to teams.
• Communicate goals and monitor progress to meet targets.
• Adjust plans for quality, shorts, or staffing changes.
• Maintain safe, efficient operations and document downtime actions.
• Lead performance reviews and develop supervisors and leads.
• Enforce SOPs, safety standards, and food safety compliance.
