Job summary

Home Chef is seeking a Shift Manager for the Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) in Maryland. You will set shift production plans, partner with FSQA, Warehouse, and HR, and ensure safety, quality, and timely meal shipments.

The role requires leading Supervisors, coaching teams, and maintaining high performance in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a four-year degree and at least three years of managerial leadership, with strong Excel/ERP skills and the ability to work nights and

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of managerial leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Track record of driving KPIs and meeting or exceeding goals.
• Strong people leadership and culture management experience.
• Proficient with Excel, ERP systems and mobile technology.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods in a cold environment.
• Available to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop shift-level production plans based on weekly targets.
• Communicate shift goals to supervisors and teams.
• Adjust plans for quality issues, shorts, or staffing changes.
• Monitor downtime and drive proactive problem solving.
• Lead cross-department handoffs and daily huddles.
• Ensure safety, food safety, and GMP compliance across the shift.
• Oversee SOPs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage staffing, time off, and escalation processes.
