Job summary

Brooks Instrument, LLC, based at the Hatfield headquarters in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, seeks a Production Supervisor for Semithermal Mass Flow Products. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory or team-leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience supervising employees across multiple shifts or working a split-shift schedule.
• Experience with vacuum, pressure, flow-control, instrumentation, semiconductor, electromechanical, or other complex technical products preferred.
• Demonstrated experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, daily management, 5S, visual management, standard work, or other continuous improvement methods preferred.
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 or similarly regulated quality-system environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and performance management for first- and second-shift employees in Industrial production.
• Maintain a regular overlap schedule across shifts to ensure leadership visibility.
• Set daily production priorities, staffing, schedules, and output requirements.
• Coordinate handoffs between shifts and communicate status of production, staffing, materials, and issues.
• Ensure procedures, quality requirements, and performance expectations are applied consistently.
• Promote 5S, visual management, standard work, flow, and waste reduction throughout production areas.
• Lead daily management and gemba activities and drive continuous improvement with ITW Toolbox methods.
• Monitor KPIs such as safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
• Organize work and adjust priorities to meet changing demand and constraints.
• Provide training plans and cross-training to build flexibility across shifts.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Supply Chain to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and employee development activities.
• Communicate company priorities and policies clearly to both shifts.
